From Breastfeeding Challenges to a Better Way for Mums

Hi, I’m Angela Dion, founder of Simple Breastfeeding® and creator of the Blissful Bond® Boobie Pillow.

Like so many mums, I struggled in those early feeding days. As a first-time mum, I found myself constantly supporting the weight of my breast with one hand while holding my baby with the other.

The physical strain was relentless. Between the neck pain, back pain and migraines, I found myself constantly at the physio, when all I really wanted was to enjoy those precious moments with my baby.

Hoping for some relief, I reached out for help. A midwife suggested rolling up a face washer for support. It helped slightly, but it never stayed where I needed it. It kept slipping, moving around and needing constant adjustment. Instead of making feeding easier, it often left me feeling even more frustrated.

That's when I realised this couldn't just be my problem.

I remember thinking, "There has to be a better way."

So I jumped on Google looking for something that could lift and support my breast while breastfeeding, but to my surprise, there was nothing. I couldn't believe that something so many mothers experience didn't have a real solution.

That's when I realised I wasn't just looking for a solution for myself anymore. I wanted to create something that could help other mums too.

And that's where the idea for the Blissful Bond® Boobie Pillow began.

After four years of research, testing and refining, I created a hand-free breastfeeding support because I wanted mums to have the support I wish I'd had.

From the very beginning, I was passionate about creating something of exceptional quality and keeping it Australian made. As a mum myself, quality mattered deeply to me, and I felt strongly about supporting local manufacturing. Knowing that every pillow is handmade right here in Australia means so much to me, because I believe mums and babies deserve the very best.
